Kinross Golf Club - Ladies' Section

Kinross Golf Club Ladies' Section is friendly and sociable and new members, with or without a handicap, are warmly welcomed into the section. If you wish to have a handicap, you will find that Kinross Ladies will certainly help and encourage you to do this.

Ladies' Competitions
Ladies' competition day is a Thursday. However, during April and September, when there is sufficient light for golf in the evening, our competitions are played on a Saturday. We offer flexibility in terms of tee times to enable ladies with work or family commitments, to play in most competitions.

Competitions During The Season
We have a full diary of competitions running through the April to September season - medals, stablefords, match-plays, 9 hole competitions, Club Opens and qualifiers for Competitions such as the Daily Mail Foursomes and Coronation Foursomes. We also have Club Championship Scratch and Handicap knock-out competitions, which all ladies who have an official competition handicap can enter.

Team Competitions
We have a team in the Perth & Kinross Ladies' Handicap League and in 2016 and again in 2017, Kinross Ladies were top of league and winners of the Loch Leven Larder Trophy. We also enter a team into the UK wide Ladies' Annodata Matchplay Competition each year and there is an opportunity to play in a Ladies' friendly match against Milnathort Golf Club. Another annual event is our "Away Day" to play golf at another club.

Fun Competitions & Social Events
We also have some fun competitions, such as our Ladies' opening 9 hole "Bring and Win" competition, and the Millenium Cup, which is a pairs competition where a Gent is paired with either a Lady member or a Junior member. These competitions are always popular and well attended, as are our social gatherings organised from time to time by our Ladies' Committee.

During The Winter
In the winter months we run a sweep and "Eclectic" over 9 holes on a Thursday and Saturday from October to March. This provides the opportunity to play social golf with a competitive element, and if the weather is not good enough for golf, the ladies meet in the clubhouse for coffee and a chat.

In light of the government “stay at home” directive to combat the COVID-19 virus and the advice from Scottish Golf, the courses are currently closed. We hope this is a short term temporary situation and we will all be able to get out and play this game we all enjoy in a few weeks time.
